This little house is the heart of all residents in Oudekraalfontein, the so-called colored community in Hopefield, please help us to rectify our history.

 

                 I was born and raised in a replica of this house.

In our vibrant and diverse town, there stands a unique house that is more than just a building—it is a living testament to the traditions and heritage of our ancestors.

With its thatched roof and clay walls, this house represents the rich cultural tapestry of our past and holds deep significance for both our local community and visitors.

Unfortunately, this historic gem is in dire need of repair.

    This is a history in the so-called colored community of Hopefield, which cannot be wished away.                                         

Despite its invaluable historical and cultural importance, it has not received the attention it deserves from local authorities or political leaders.

Our organization, West Coast Sports Solutions, is dedicated to turning this house into a cherished tourism attraction. We envision it as a space where our community’s sporty youth can connect with their roots, learn about their history, and gain inspiration for their future.

However, we face a significant challenge: we do not have the necessary funds to undertake this crucial restoration project, and that’s where you come in. We are calling on businesses, individuals, and supporters both within South Africa and abroad to join hands with us in making this dream a reality.
