VELOCITY ATHLETE’S SHOW THEIR CLASS…!!!

ATLANTIS:- Five athletes from Velocity Athletics Club in Atlantis, who were part of the Western Province relay team this week in Sasolburg, show once again their class on the athletic pitch.
The athletes were part of the relay team that was recently selected for the WPA relay team, and participated this week in the DP de Villiers Stadium, in the SA Athletic competitions in Sasolburg.  The relay team won the first place as expected, and only underlined that they are in a class of their own, beating also the best in the country.

Among them were Melanie Joshua,  (second last on picture) the official 2022 WP Junior and senior champion in the 100m.  Due to her study direction in tertiary education obligations, she will now join UWC athletics, and will no longer participate in athletics under the Velocity banner.
According to Mario Fredericks, manager and coach of Velocity Athletic Club, everyone in Atlantis wishes Melanie all the best for the future. “She has to keep going and move forward with faith and determination, because the future holds many good things for her.
