VREDENDAL:- Ruan Klaase, a grade 10 learner from High School Vredendal is on his way to Switzerland, as an ambassador for children’s rights.

The talented boy has been seriously involved in children’s rights in South Africa for the past year, and serves as an adviser in the commissioner of children’s rights’ office. Ruan has been selected to represent South Africa in September 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland, at the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child.
According to Jackeline Gordeng van Vredendal, his parents and also the entire Vredendal community are very proud of this talented boy. Everyone wishes him well, for what he will do in Switzerland for children’s rights.
“He must keep South Africa and the Dallers (Vredendal) name high!
Gordeng concludes with, “Thank you for what you do for South Africa’s children”.
